"O Allah, strengthen through him the path of the stars of Islam and its illuminating lamps from whom guidance is sought in the darkness of the gloomy nights of doubt, and bestow upon him blessings that last as long as sea waves crash and pilgrims from every remote land circumambulate the Ancient House, the Ka'bah"
The South Team is a new local branch of Scholarly Heritage that started in August this year. Within a short time, the team has positioned itself to be a strong actor in the London area.
Their main project this autumn is the Family Movie Night on the 29th of November (read more about this below!) They are also present at events hosted by other organisations to raise awareness about the work and mission of Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi.
Thanks to such events we can interact with our supporters, engage and strengthen social bonds that encourage joint action.
Listen to Shaykh Zaheer's appeal for support for Scholarly Heritage.
Our London-based volunteers have partnered with the Al-Manaar Muslim Cultural and Heritage Centre in North Kensington, London, to host a family movie night and fundraiser on the 30th of November. All proceeds from this event will go to Scholarly Heritage, to support the publication of scholarly masterpieces by Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi.
The featured film for the evening will be Journey to Mecca: In the Footsteps of Ibn Battuta. This award-winning dramatised documentary, chronicles the remarkable adventures of the famed Muslim traveller, scholar and explorer.
We are delighted to invite you to bring your friends and family for an evening that promises to educate, inspire, and uplift. Reserve your spot today, and be part of a cause that connects us to our Islamic roots and will enrich our futures.
During this event, renowned journalist and author Kristiane Backer will offer us a behind-the-scenes insight at the making of this extraordinary movie.
Shaykh Zaheer Yaqoub will give a lecture on the significance of Hajj and the importance of preserving our Muslim heritage.
There will also be stalls displaying handmade crafts, art, books, and more, supporting local businesses. Other activities for the evening will include a trivia contest and a drawing competition for children.
Fundraisers like these play a key role in supporting and sustaining Scholarly Heritage. Our volunteers are able to engage with new audiences and explain how we work to support the preservation and promotion of Islamic scholarship and culture.

Attendees browsed the Scholarly Heritage stall and enquired about the organisation, its works and mission in supporting the Sunnah via the works of Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi.
This event was one outside of the normal circles of Scholarly Heritage and gave us a good opportunity to reach out to people who may not yet be aware of Shaykh Al-Yaqoubi and his works. - May Allah Ta'ala allow his works to spread to more communities - Ameen.
