Assalamualaykum dear {name}

Let us introduce you to Seeking Stars, an international group of young students and fundraisers, who have grown up around the teachings of Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi. They would like to tell you their stories on how their activities naturally include fundraising for his works.

Seeking Stars International Sunni Youth, based in Atlanta in the USA, is a group of students aged eleven to eighteen moulding their perception of Islam and their lives as Muslims in the West through the books, videos and lectures by Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi. Over the years they have studied many of his works, such as:

• The 40 hadiths of Imam al-Nawawi
• Shama'il al-Habib al-Mustafa (hadiths about the Prophet ﷺ)
• Dala'il al-Khayrat
• The Moroccan Revelations
• Lectures on Imam Al-Bukhari
  

- all works that Scholarly Heritage has been sponsoring and Seeking Stars have helped fundraising for.

Presently, they will start a course on the Sunni Aqida by interactive listening to the Tahawiyya lectures of Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi - teachings that they will, without a doubt,  carry on to the next generation.

The texts are explained by teachers and senior students, amongst them Sayyid Ibrahim al-Yaqoubi, the esteemed son of Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi.

The classes also contain interactive activities such as competitions, Kahoots and presentations, which actively engage the young students and make them immerse themselves in their learning.

Knowing that studies alone do not benefit unless implemented in daily lives, and that the service to the teacher is the greatest door to obtaining benefit from him; the Seeking Stars students regularly engage in volunteering and fundraising.

They host tea parties where they entertain the elders to raise money, organise bake sales and online events, and miss no opportunity to present the work of Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi and the mission of Scholarly Heritage. 

Last month the "Light upon light" mawlid was celebrated in an online event, jointly hosted by the Dala'il Al Khayrat Youth and Seeking Stars. They brought together youth, families and neighbours to a lively and joyful celebration, offering a diverse programme with nasheeds and episodes from the life of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, interwoven with games and collective salawat, and presentations of Scholarly Heritage.

Their efforts did not go unnoticed in the Scholarly Heritage progress bar, where the US Fundraising team have reached 37% of their set goal. That is an increase of over $2,000 in the last 10 days! May Allah increase the rewards of fundraisers and donors grant them tawfeeq for their best efforts!
