Scholarly Heritage’s reporters give you a glimpse of these gatherings!

Day 1 | 13th Dhul Hijjah 1444 - 2nd July 2023

A beautiful introduction to our humble Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi Hafizhahu Allah by Shaykh Mufti Shams ad-Din Wajid Iqbal of Bradford.

Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi is a devout lover of Dala’il al-Khayrat. He eloquently expresses this form of love in poetry and other works such as Dala’il al-Khayrat of Imam al-Jazuli (ra).

Tonight Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi took us through a spiritual journey, in introducing the author and the tradition of the Dala’il Sharif. He mentioned the beautiful secrets and adab of kissing the pictures of Madina Mosque and the Kaaba Sharifah in the book. This is a form of expression of love and respect, the way of the traditional Sunni scholars and lovers of the Prophet ﷺ.

The audience was captured by the heartfelt recitation as we were taken through the hizb of the Day.

Instructions are pointed out, added to this new edition of Dala’il al-Khayrat

The tradition of the past scholars such as Imam Malik (ra) in giving ijazah are mentioned among many.

The barakah of listening and taking ijazah from the Shaykh is explained and taught to us.

Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi finally gave ijazah to the audience for the recitation of Dala’il al-Khayrat.
