A Grand Finale at Madni Masjid, Bradford

On the seventh and final day of the Remembrance Tour, the atmosphere at Madni Masjid in Bradford was electric with spiritual anticipation, as attendees gathered for what would become the most memorable session of the tour.
As the session began, the masjid was enveloped in an overwhelming sense of serenity and devotion. Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi, known for his deep spiritual insight and eloquence, led the gathering in the powerful chanting of the name of Allah, resonating in the hearts of all those present. This dhikr was more than just a recitation; it was a deeply immersive experience that drew everyone into a state of profound reflection and closeness to their Creator.
The Shaykh emphasized that chanting the name “Allah” is not merely a verbal exercise but a spiritual practice that purifies the heart and strengthens our connection to the Divine.
The dhikr session at Madni Masjid was not just the culmination of the Remembrance Tour but a spiritual climax that encapsulated the essence of the entire journey. It was a powerful reminder of the transformative power of remembering Allah and the immense peace and contentment it brings to the soul.
Reflecting on the teachings of Imam Ghazali and Imam Busiri, Shaykh al-Yaqoubi highlighted the signs of true love for Allah Almighty. He explained that genuine love for Allah should manifest in our actions, much like how people display their affection for worldly things or individuals. The Shaykh encouraged the audience to live in a state of longing for Allah, striving to meet Him by obeying His commands and avoiding what He forbids. This is the essence of Tawhid, the Oneness of Allah, which should permeate every aspect of a believer’s life.
The Shaykh also spoke about the importance of repentance (tawbah) and the continuous effort to seek Allah’s forgiveness after each sin. He reminded everyone that Allah’s Mercy is boundless, and that we must maintain hope and a good opinion of our Creator, always ready to return to Him with sincere repentance.
As the evening drew to a close, Shaykh al-Yaqoubi expressed his deep gratitude to all who had participated in the tour, urging them to continue the practice of dhikr in their daily lives. He emphasized that the remembrance of Allah is a lifelong journey, one that should be pursued with sincerity and devotion, as it leads to the ultimate goal of spiritual closeness to Allah.
