On August 2019, His Eminence Shaykh Muhammad Al-Yaqoubi recited the full Sahih al-Bukhari at a historical event in Istanbul in 2019.

Scholars testified that it was the greatest event of this nature in the past 100 years. The recital was held in the Mihrimah mosque, one of the largest mosques in Istanbul. The final session filled the mosque with 8000 attendees. 600 students followed the full recitation and were given ijaza, together with a copy of the “Introduction to Sahih al-Bukhari“, a valuable scholarly reference  written by the Shaykh for this particular occasion.
